What are the benifits of Beets?

1. Beets Lower Your Blood Pressure

Eating beets may lower your blood pressure in a matter of hours, one study showed that it lowers your systolic blood pressures by 4 to 5 points! WOW!  Beets have a naturally occurring nitrates which convert nitric oxide in your body which will help relax and dilate your blood vessels which improves blood flow and lowers blood pressure.

2. Beets Boost Your Stamina

If you need more energy for your next workout, beet may be your answer!  Those who drank beet juice before exercise could exercise longer.  This study found that this is related to the nitrates turning to nitrite oxide and enhances tolerance to intense workouts.

3. Beets Fight Inflammation

Beets are a great source of betaine, it helps protect cells, proteins and enzymes from stress.  It also help fight swelling, protects internal organs, improves your blood flow, and assist fighting a number of chronic diseases.
